For the third year in a row, State Rep. Keith Perry, R-Gainesville, plans to file a bill calling for a referendum on whether to move decision-making authority over Gainesville Regional Utilities from the City Commission to a newly formed utility authority board.
“We’re going to do it again,” Perry said at Thursday afternoon’s Alachua County Legislative Delegation hearing. “Sometimes, the third time’s a charm. Sometimes, three strikes is a strikeout.”
