Gainesville Republican Sen. Keith Perry is heading the Marion County slice of Senate District 8 later this month for a re-election fundraiser.
Perry’s event, his second since the end of the 2018 Legislative Session, will be held June 19 at the Holiday Inn Ocala Conference Center, 3600 SW 38th Ave.
The invitation lists Doug Cone and Danny Gaekwad as the hosts. Cone is the owner of Ocala-based alcohol distributor Cone Distributing. Gaekwad runs IT, hotel and restaurant businesses and was recently appointed to the University of Central Florida Board of Trustees by Gov. Rick Scott.

Perry was elected to the Senate in 2016 over attorney Rod Smith, a former FDP chair and former state Senator.
In 2018 he faces Democrats Kayser Enneking and Olysha Magruder.
